June 29, 2011 - The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) reports that cyanobacteria levels in Lake Attitash water sampled at the state boat ramp in Merrimac on June 27 was 16,000 cells per milliliter. This level is below the 70,000 state guideline, but the advisory against water contact remains in effect at least until July 7 because the state requires two consecutive weeks of below-guideline levels before lifting the advisory.
Lake Attitash water will be sampled again by DPH on July 5 and results will be announced about July 7.

WOW very tempting. I just came across this forum today and joined. I have a tournament on Saturday for striper fishing. not sure the wife will go for two days in a row out on the water.
I can tell you though I fished this lake for the very first time yesterday. showed up at 7:30, nice easy launch. Cought my first fish within 10 casts and pulled a 3lber Bass.. and cought many more (bass, pickerel, perch) through out the day. not quite a big but all "fun" sized.

I cant speak for anyone else, BUT I do still plain on going, and I dont think I would water ski here! I also still believe WE will have a ton of water traffic because people dont read the boards like the awsome members of MAFF. Whats the line on someone catching a fish with a 3rd eye?
