Just bought the tracker topper 1542, upgraded from my fisher jon 1232. Pretty excited, in the process of putting the front deck on it and wanted to see what you guys think.

looks good !!what did you use 1/2 inch ply and are you puuting a live well or compartment in the space or just a deck.

Yeah its 1/2 inch plywood, I'm going to make some compartments on the deck and where the middle bench is there is a livewell built in already I just have to cut out the plywood to get to it. Ill be doing Tha when I cut out the doors for storage.

that looks pretty nice...way better than my current and first set up. i've actually been wondering, without the deck, are those trackers loud like a regular aluminum boat? if you move around, drop something, do you get the loud bang?

This is my first tracker, haven't had the chance to vet it on the water yet but walking around on it on the trailer its not loud at all. If you dropped something I think that would make a good amount of noise. So what I'm goin to do for the center of the boat on the floor instead of cutting more plywood and doing more carpet I'm going to buy the rubber floor mats with holes you can buy at Lowes or home depot pretty cheap. It dampens almost all sound comfortable to stand on and if the boat puddles up you wont be standing in water, and if you drop a lure/rod empty beer can etc. It wont make any noise.

The boat looks great!! I have a Tracker 1436 I've been using for 6 years now and it has been a great boat. Finished my front and rear decks finally last year, Trackers can be a little noisy when you drop stuff, great idea with the mats thou!! I ended up making a floor section for the center as well to deaden sound. Great boat, your gonna have a ton of fun fishing out of it!! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Hahaha what a small world! Hope you enjoy that boat as much as I did, as you can see I wont be able to carry the new one nearly as far.

I assume you'll have a battery compartment somewhere in there? Thinking about putting an on-board charger in it, or do you haul the battery in and out of the house to charge it?

Looks like this could be a pretty sweet rig!
