Singles should never pay less. I fish a trail that allows it and no one agrees except the person who runs it. Two people allows you to have two lines in but usually the front person isn't positioning themselves perfectly cause they don't want to shut out their partner. Partners can also be a distraction. It is not a handicap, they have the option to fish with someone else. If they choose not to they do so knowing the situation. Most of the time people pound shorelines and you don't need two lines to do that anyway

I'd just like to fish toppers solo and really can't afford $50. No need to get upset.
