Buckle up for safety ladies and gentlemen of MAFF!
I'm proposing a challenge unlike any other before. The challenge is for three angling categories:
1) 5lb large mouth bass or bigger vs ME.
2) Largest Small Mouth Bass
3) Largest Fish in any freshwater Catergory ( Here you go Blackstone).
How it all works...................................................
From Monday June 3rd - Saturday (Midnight) June 8th the categories above are listed as open for non-tournament fish caught.
Every large mouth bass caught over 5lbs is worth 10 dollars in a Visa Gift Card- the person with the most 5 plus pound Largemouth Bass will get a gift card equilvalent to their total.....minus whatever I catch on my end.
- for example: Person A, sends in 3 Largemouth Bass over 5lbs during the period of time stated above and I catch 2 bass over 5lbs you would get....3 - 2 = 1 fish payout of $10. If there is a tie, then the person with the most total weight of 5 plus pounders get's the prize. Again for example I catch more 5 plus pounders than anyone that posted on this thread...no one get's paid on this category
. Another example, by S**t luck I don't land a 5lber and two guys or gals catch 2 bigger than 5lbs the person with the most total weight would get $20 ( If the total weight is tied then they both get $20).
Since it's my Challenge the largest Small Mouth will get a $20 Visa Gift Card plain and simple. (You guys are lucky as I don't plan to fish this category).
Also, the biggest (most heavy) miscellaneous fish will also get a $20 VISA gift card.
Please post any questions but keep them to a minimum as the goal here is to land quality fish. With the amount of time I intend to spend on the water next week I'm not worried about the largemouth segment.
Two things: Honor system guys....seriously, stay classy San Diego ( don't let your reputation get messed up for bullshitting. ). If you can scale shot the fish, do it, but by no means do I encourage harming the fish, a photo of your fish is required, and lastly, have FUN).

im in! ill try for largemouth but so far this year ive only come within a half pound of the 5 lb mark and ive seen the fish you post so im not expecting to get anywhere with that lol. im not fishing any place with smallies all week and while i will be trying my hardest for some nice carp im positive blackstone will have me destroyed by a large margin lol. im also going for a big pike to rival the size of blackstones carp so one way or another i fully intend on getting a $20 dollar gift card for my arrogance! the hunt IS ON!!!!!!

If i win the third category I will accept the 20 card. If, with Jeff's approval, anyone can beat me in this category...I will add an additional 20 dollar card.
That means if anyone wins the third category beside me, they will get 40$.
Now the only problem I have is..figuring out what I'll spend my 20 bucks on.
