Next time you don't have a scale use a piece line to get the length and girth.
Save the line so when you get home you can measure on scale (tape measure).
There is a formula that you take length x girth maybe divide = weight
I forgot the formula but I'm sure someone knows or we can find.
Anyway you will have the lines to get weight when you find formula ect.
This is definitely more than 5 pounds for sure. This is clearly photo! If you caught her at couple of month later, she would be between 6-7 pounds with huge girth.
Congrat, dude.
The weight formula is length x length x girth. then divide by 800. then it is your weight for that bass. I think from last time I recall.
Given estimate a shot from that boot photo. I would guess that bass is 20 inch long. Along with probably between 12-14 inch girth. So lowest as 12 inch girth is at 4.7 pounds, 13 inch girth is at 5.1 pounds, and 14 inch girth is at 5.4 pounds.
So, I would guess this bass has 13 inch girth or so.
My guess 5 1/2 or a little more. I dont think he would make 6. But that fish has a big belly. A dollar bill is 6 " long.......you can measure a fish with it....The fish in my photo is 5 lbs 15 oz
