Early spring: Silver buddies in 15-25' of water. Not huge hops or pops, slight ones. Spider jigs and tubes dragged in 10-25' Suspending jerkbaits that get down 7-8'. short rips with long pauses but experiment with retrieve and stick to the one thats producing.
Later spring. Shallow suspending jerkbaits 3-4' shorter pauses. Tubes and spider jigs 5-15', Senko type baits. Look for western exposed spawning flats and fish the 1st drop.
Post spawn: Spinnerbaits BURNED just below the surface. Top water pop-r, spook ect. sub surface swimbaits
Summer: Carolina rigged creature baits, grubs and lizards. Drop shot 4" worms. Ball head 5" grubs dragged or swam. Start in 5-10' in the morning and work deeper down to 25' as the day progresses. Fish can remain in 10' or less on cloudy days.
