This 66-acre, infertile, warm water pond is very shallow and weedy with an average depth of only three feet. The water is brown and the bottom is composed of sand and muck. The shoreline (2.4 miles) is undeveloped. The pond is located one mile south of the intersection of Route 80 and Elm Street. Access is a town right-of-way off Indian Road, which is off of Elm Street. Fish Populations: This pond was last surveyed in 1980 when six fish species were found to be present. Chain pickerel were the only gamefish in the sample, while other species, in order of abundance, were yellow perch, bluegill, golden shiner, brown bullhead and pumpkinseed.
