I probably should have ask this question before buying, but I just bought the skeet reese drop shot rod for drop shotting of course, and was wondering if anyone has used any of the skeet reese rods before, and if you think it was a good choice for the money. I got it new for $67 with shipping included, It seems nice and is definitely an upgrade from the $20-40$ cheapo rods i have always used and i'm not saying i have anything against cheap rods because many of them have worked just fine for me in the past, i was just wondering if this was my best bet for the price.

Don't know about the Skeet Reese rods, but someone just posted a bunch of nice Quantum rods for sale in the classifieds sections...nice ones too, I think.

That's a nice rod. I've never seen them for less than $90. High modulus graphite rods that are pretty sensitive for what they're designed to do. Be happy with what you bought, that's a very nice rod.

the wright&McGill skeet reese rods are awesome, I own 3, and use them all the time, great sensitivity, very durable. if any of my other non skeet reese rods break, they'll get replaced with skeet reese rods.

I have the flippin stick. It's a good mid range rod but I'm gonna replace it for next year with something lighter. Denali I think.

Coming from a $20-30 cheap combo, yes you'll like it. Once you upgrade to a $70+ rod you won't even want to use your others IMO

for the money you can't beat'em. plus they ARE!! the same exact rods that skeet uses on tour, there's no difference at all. lets put it this way, I used to use the BPS extreme series rods, they're $100 rods, my extreme spinnerbait rod broke, so I bought the slkeet reese tessera spinnerbait/worm baitcast rod for $89.99. the first time I used it I was blown away because while using a double willow leaf spinnerbait I could feel BOTH blades churning in the water, I never felt that with my extreme rods I usually could only feel the bigger willow leaf blade churning. after that I started replacing my other extreme rods after they broke with skeet rods, I now own an s-glass crankbait rod(which is incredible BTW), my tessera spinnerbait/worm rod, and a tessera jerkbait/topwater rod. I still have 2 extreme rods left, my spinning rod, and my swimbait rod, when those 2 rods happen to break, they're getting replaced with skeet reese rods. they are the ONLY rods I'll buy from now on
