Just read BassMaster magazine last night and saw an 12 year old just topped the Maryland State LM record at 11.2 lbs.
Thats a big ass LM anywhere in U.S. and would be a lifetime PB for most bass anglers, particularly in the NorthEast/Mid Atlantic regions.

We have a 15+ lb LM record supposedly out of a South Eastern MA pond.
Does anyone have the real story/info regarding our MA State record.
Although it was 1975, are there any certified photos, weigh-in certification or photos, actual location caught, witnesses etc?

Was the fish released or mounted?

There seems to be a little bit of discrepancy when you ask people in the know...especially some of the Mass Fish-Game Wardens or EP's.

Just curious to see what other guys think or have heard, particularly the serious tournament guys in MA....and the guys that have got a double digit PB in MA....

I sure know that fish didn't come from sampsons. Heard it wasn't even mill pond just a part of the agwam

Think it came from the nip. It used to be a pet of a sasquatch Razz

Saw the picture. It's BIG fish, but its not 15 lbs. It "might" be 10 lbs max

I never seen any real photo of this monster bass! this is making me suspicious that person transport it from southern bass to here and show off about biggest bass. then said, it was from sampson. It is my wild guess.

I might be wrong about it. But I haven't seen anyone claimed 13, 14, and 15 pounds Bass that actually caught in Mass. except two bass that already mounted from my friend's house and other too. All I can say, easily 12+ pounder. Compare to my 9.5 pounder bass. Anyway, wondering if someone can ring this one for any 11 or 12 pounder bass!

Thanks Rich for digging that picture up....I agree with you....that fish is not 15 plus lbs....11 lbs max I would say....just the approximate length doesn't seem to fit weight.... strange looking belly on that big girl too....

I didn't but it's one of my favorite take out dinners minus the diet coke. I don't usually drink soda
