in your thread,
LOOKING FOR SOME GOOD CARTOPPER PONDS FOR 2011 TOURNEYS
there was some definite interest in a cartopper in the north shore area.

So I'm going to through my vote out there again for a cartopper in Concord, Woburn, or Medford area at the ponds/lakes already mentioned in the other thread. Something that close to me I would be sure to attend.

nice. i'd fish anywhere. how are the ramps at those places? if they're good, it should make things solid for the boaters.

as mentioned in the other thread...I would definitely put in the Upper Mystic in Winchester, and Horn Pond in Woburn for cartoppers....both hold hogs, I'm sure many people on this site can attest to this from their years of fishing on the North Shore!

There is ample parking at both places with a pretty decent launch...

Can't really say much for the other spots, not sure how many of the 'big boat' tourneys I'll be in, but I'd definitely like to get in on the cartopper action!!

Cartoppers look good to me. I like the Upper Mystic cause its so close to me & the timing is just right for me too. Count me in on that one. Maybe have Horn Pond as a backup just in case the ramp is still closed. I doubt it would be but, you never know? Or maybe we could squeeze one more cartopper @ Horn Pond? Laughing Also Knops Pond looks like a good cartopper pond, kinda in between northshore & the western part of the state?

I'm not familiar with the big boat lakes. If can make a couple of those it would be the icing on my cake!

good deal on the Upper Mystic Lake selection. Also, I can't wait to get a boat out on the Concord River. I've fished from shore dozens of times there but have yet to take a boat on there. I need a boat to call my own...

Upper Mystics will be fine. The very North part by the river is the only spot that gets choked out. Launch would be at the Southern part of Upper and that would leave the whole lake to fish. There are Lilly pads and mostly deep water. 90% of the lake will be fine for all boats.
There are monster fish in here guys.

Smoke looks good as far as I can see. What happens to the teams that dont have a cartopper? Those teams will miss out on 4 tourneys. Does that hurt them in any way?

Posted Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:16 pm

yeah rough draft guys, all suggestions is what were looking for.
i'm sure there will be more than whats aleady there but we'll see

Posted Sat Nov 06, 2010 3:22 pm

no it wont hurt anybody your averages will go by the amount of tourneys your in!!!! all tourneys will count toward your average.

Hows the new boat Mikey did you break her in yet or ????

New boat is OFF THE HOOK BOYSSSSS, Today we put on the new fishfinder and gps units on. Boat now has 2 fishfinders GPS and cd player. 60 PLUS across the water! You better hang on, for real life. Trolling motor alone can cause a wake! 74 lbs thrust. JUST a sick boat, Stratos does it up right! I cant wait tell next season, Might want to take a road trip down south in like Feb. I 'll let you guys know if we plan something.

Excellent work Smoke,

Maybe once you gather everyone's Ideas, you can possibly do what you did last year and have everyone send you there top 5 lakes they would like for the tourneys. Either way i dont care who decides or where we fish. I plan on attending them all (except for Halifax as im getting married the day before)

Whitehall (hopkinton) and Cochicuate (Natick) are also solid lakes..very large, and loading dock is a parking lot. And who knows, i may lose another rod in Whitehall and jump in after it!

Is it really only NOVEMBER....christ i need the water to freeze...then melt..so we can start tourney season again..Im having withdrawls from 4am Sunday wakeups, and paying the Landlords and Hawghunters my rent!
