mike you got a great rod from chuck. kistler is high quality and they have a great warranty.

try the shimano sienna for $29, you will be pleasantly surprised. I prefer it to the mid priced models, lasts for years. forgot to mention they are light for a cheap reel , the 2500 is only 9oz

I use all Quantums. Ranging from an older KVD to old Plazmas and Icons. All but 7 are sz 20 with 2 being sz 30.

I bought a Phflueger supreme when they first came out. the spool shaft fell out the first time I used it. back it went. also had a trion that didn't last one season. no thanks.

I have Shiamano Siennas on all my spinning setups, 500 for the ultralight, 1000 on my wife's, and a 2500 as well. All front drag models. They're cheap, light, and durable.

I use abu garcia orra s20 s30 s40.. love them i have all 3.. light weight and strong.. i just cant get used to a bait caster..
