I fish to get close to nature, unplug for a while, collect my thoughts. If you can fish all day, catch nothing, and come home with a smile on your face anyway, you're doing it for the right reasons. | |

Yeah, they'll pretty much bite on anything this time of year. They tend to beat other panfish to the punch and will be active earlier in the spring than bluegills and pumpkinseeds.

I was at Walden Pond on Sunday, air temp mid-40s, sheets of rain coming down. The pond was ice-free. I was hoping for trout, but got zilch. Still, it beats working. |
