Has anyone heard of the NAFC or is a member of it? I got a thing in the mail about a $1/month membership and sometimes they send gear for you to test and then keep. THere's also a magazine involved with it. It seems too good to be true and so I'm a little suspicious. Any one of you guys know anything about it?

THanks

I just got that stuff in the mail too...I've heard that if your in it for awhile, and write good responses they send you some decent stuff to test, but it starts out with small junk that probably won't get used much. I signed up for the magazine, as I figured a buck an issue was worth it regardless...I watch the show on TV and there is some decent info on it, so hoping the mag is more of the same. I could care less about all the testing stuff, but who knows, maybe they'll send me a new Revo to test out right off the bat Smile

Me Too!
I got it in the mail last week. Mailed the form in yesterday.
I'll see what I get back in the mail & maybe stay with it if the club looks good?

I did that last year... and they sent me some slip bobbers and a couple of fillet knives. They suck you in with those... and then they start sending you fishing books, and they only make you pay for them if you keep them. I guess you can mail them back... I was too lazy to package them up and send them back, so I ended buying like 3 hard bound books on various types of fishing before I eventually cancelled the club. I think in the long run they ended up making money on me. But the books they did send me were high quality and well made... so it wasn't like I was completely getting ripped off.

I don't know much about the fillet knives... they sent 2 with sheaths (sp.). I practice catch and release, so I never used them and are still collecting dust in the basement.

Hopefully the info helps!

I joined a couple of years ago and the same stuff was going on then. When they sent a book that I didn't ask for and then charged me for it that was it. Lets just say if you receive something in the mail and didn't order it, it's yours. Nice book but didn't need it.
