football jigs with a yamamoto grub are the only thing that's worked for me so far, fish em kind of slow/erratic, have only landed about 7 or 8 bass . . . haven't even gotten a hit on senkos or cranks

I been cutting senkos down to 3 - 3 1/2 inchs and slow rolling a drop shot with the senko nose hooked. I been doing good with a Carolina rig with a 16 inch leader using 14 lb test oddly enough with a motor oil curly tail 7 inch

Hmm I'll have to try that out. I kinda figured that if you basically dragged something through or real close to bedded bass this time of year you'd have some luck, considering they're not super into eating and more into protecting/defending/spawning.

Look for thick cover too like trees with a lot of branches grab a heavy rod get close heavy line and drop a skirted jig trim down the skirt and throw a brush hawg power hawg or the yum version they have as a trailer and you'll be setting hooks all day. But pull emergency out quick just get close flip in there let it sink bounce lightly for a few seconds all over the cover and find more cover and repeat.

Or try flipping with a spinner bait with a trailer just like a jig I find when the bite is tough to go outside the box and do weird things a lot of people not doing and works out good.

Another trick I would suggest is take a rattle trap take off the rear hook and burn it near cover. Without the rear hook you won't snag if you hit cover and the noise draws the bass attention and creates that reaction bite so you won't need the rear hook in that case and if the do get just the rear end they won't feel the hook and you can cast back at them

Finesse drop shots. Fluke reaction strikes close to shore.

I haven't found the bass to be chasing anything. I'm getting all my bass on soft plastics, flukes, sluggos, worms, etc.

I agree 100% I have had terrible results with spinnerbait and anything they need to chase the past week to 10 days. I was crushing them with the spinner bait and the chatter bait and then the bite shut off and I have had some luck with plastics ! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having this trouble !!
