OK, here is the latest and greatest on the permit.
Let me start by saying I have even more of an appreciation for all the efforts of those who take care of these things on a regular basis (Smoke, Johnny, Neil and anyone else I did not mention). I am not looking for, nor do I need any praise or recognition, but just wanted to say what a pain in the butt it is to work with city governments.
After calling once and going twice to the Conservation Department (who were as nice as pie, but had their rules), twice to the DPW Superintendent's office, once to the Fire Dept., once to the Police Dept. and then following up a 4th time with the Conservation Department, I am happy to say that the permit for our Horn Pond car topper tourney has been officially approved. They are mailing me a copy of the signed/stamped and approved permit, but we are officially good to go!
