i remember that place closed probably 5-6 years ago....been a revolving door of business' since. i think johnny's got the right idea with keeping with live bait, convienant for ice fishing during the winter and going down to the charles during soft water. only options for live bait in the area are arlington or natick i think.

Yeah that's it Bobby, natick outdoor store and Jims. would be a no brainer for mackeral and stuff as well, the river is thriving with carp and channel cats as well. big fishing behind the old/new watch factory. I was looking at spot right in that building. back side corner right on the water. awesome local, but they didn't want to break me off a piece, lol
so location is tough in that area if its cheap it's in the middle of town and close to the water is like 20k a month, so not seeing it happen.

Location, location, location, that's what it's all about Johnny! Good luck though. Is the taxidermy place still open down off Moody Street? We used to get shiners there from time to time when we fished in the Charles, but it's admittedly been many, many years since then.

no, he's been gone for years. great little place, I grew up down that street by the boat launch, that place and river were and still are my life, lol

we'll see what happens
