I hate bass pro shops! Every time I go there I end up leaving disgusted. In fact I've told my family to stop buying me gift certificates there as the last few I got, I ended up selling at a loss to spend the cash elsewhere. My problem with Bass-pro is that they don't carry regional specific tackle and colors for the region the store is located in. Is it to much to ask for them to carry baits that mimic the bait fish that are found in the northeast? The last time I was in there I wanted to find a few baits in yellow perch and bluegill patterns. Out of the millions of square feet of retail space I couldn't find the sizes or the colors I wanted. Of course they can order them but what's the point if they don't carry them in the store. There saltwater department is even worse. They are selling stuff in the store in Foxboro that works great for striped bass in the Chesapeake bay but is useless to fishermen on Cape Cod. There tuna gear wouldn't catch a bluefish let alone a tuna. That is just a few examples of many that I can think of.
Fisherman's Outfitter in Gloucester or Plymouth and Sportsman's landing in Dennis. It's funny you though my view on BPS was harsh, I actually toned it down after proof reading it the first time.
