I always put stuff off like getting new tires and then it bites me. I'm just glad it went right at my house and not on the highway. Anyways I have all new tires so that's one last thing to worry about

Dude that sucks..I just bought 3 new tires for the car beginning of this month...I feel your pain, and so does my wallet Sad

So your car only has three wheels?

Damnedest thing. Manufacturing defect ..prolly had a recall but we never looked into it. Lol, we had bought the fourth one like 6 months before due to a nail expediting the process.

Day 2..what's that I hear in the distance? Is that the sound of victory?

I think it may be...

So after all weekend of fishing for ecerything that moves all I have to enter is a carp ( so far... I'm still going out today) and I'm sure it will get blown away by blackstone lol but its the biggest fish I got all weekend Sad so the net weighs. 55 and I weighed it in the net so the pic says 8.11 then subtract. 55 and u get a 7.56 lb mirror carp that was 25" long. I still have today to gun for bass lol

I caught a 4.1 and a 4.7 lm at Billington on friday.I tried to take pics but they sucked since I was alone. That was my best for the weekend. When I got home I didn't like the way they came out so I deleted them.I didn't a 4.1 and a 4.7 would hold up ,hahaha.I also got a 2.4 a 2.6 and a 2.11 that morning.Don't care about the prize I was just happy with a decent 4 hours on the water.

I went out from 2:30-4:30 today with Jen on a local pond to do some frogging. The wind was tough the first hour and then the action picked up. My big fish of the day was this 5.7 lb Larry on the frog. 10 minutes after, I missed one that was bigger...she came off a few seconds after the hook set. I also spotted Chuck out there on our way back in...I bet he beats this one!

Bassturds - where is our fish photo?! please put your big fish picture with scale that blurred on 2.8. and mine 2.5 bass along with scale weight too.

Bassturds and I went our holes on sat/sun, it was on fire. however, no big fish was landed at all. they escaped lucky. haha but only big one from the weekend was 2.8 from bassturds and 2.5 from my fish. We must caught over 100 plus fish from two days. Just couldn't capitalize the big fish. That's why it is called fishing.

Saturday was a wet day but at least the river we were fishing was producing. A friend popped his new pb at 20lbs and 1 oz. I beat it with a second 20 of the day at 20lb and 3 oz ( 33 inches in length ). We had 6 fish altogether with the rest falling in at 17, 13, 12, and 11.

Was really banking on last night into today being the more productive time..however that was not the case. I did manage one of the fattest 16 pound fish I have ever caught and a 19 lb 12 oz Snapping turtle.

So that being said... ( 33 inches long ) 20lb 3oz is gonna do it for me.

Way to go Blackstone! Hell of a fish bro....looks like the extra bait preparation payed off. What pound test/rod set-up so you use to pull in these 20 pounders?

Posted Mon May 27, 2013 6:10 pm

Thanks bud. You didn't do so bad yourself!

I use a 12 foot 3.0 lb test curve rod for most of my big fish/river fishing. I keep the reels spooled with 15 pound mono and typically use 1-3 ounce leads + bait weight..

Can cast a country mile and will handle very large, angry fish lol.

Will put up pics of the others ones once I download em from last night/today's session.

Pulled this one out of Peters Pond, my scale was to small so don't have the weight.
