As always great Tourney! Thanks Justin!

Not so good of a day for us Sad . We were still ridding the high of Upper Mystic, with our first limit. Alex & I felt confident going to Boone. But, I was a little nervous with what happen to us there last year. It turned out to be a repeat. When I saw everyone tying on frogs, I thought good looks like I'm on the track. First cast I hook a short fish on the pads & that was it for the rest of the day on the frog. After reading posts about Boone, it looked like a lot of fish were coming off docks? Tried brush hog, chigger craw, senkos & spinnerbait down the side of docks with nothing? Also, tried backing off the shore fishing a little deeper, which is where we caught are only keeper & where Alex lost his fish on a crankbait. Not used to fishing docks, maybe that was hurt us?

If anyone can give us some pointers, that would be awesome. Not asking for tips or special spots (know this a tourney lake so, wanna keep it to yourself). We just trying to learn from our mistakes & become better anglers.

We did have fun & in the end that's what matters. Also, if it cost me $50 & I got to fish with my son some place new & didn't have to listen to the wife b**** " when are you coming home?" it was worth it !! HA!HA!

Congrats to the all the money teams! Landlords did it again! Nice fish Mark!

the only tip i can give ya on the docks, is to slow it down and hammer it.
i'll throw my jig ten times on one side of the dock and about the same on the other side and take my time doing so. usually pans out.

Fishingreek, I pounded the hell out of all the docks, and caught nothing as well. You will recoup some money when you place, and you will. Dont ever give up, you guys are getting better and better.

We got our 5 and still went home -$50

Fishingreek I hear you on that one. I can't wait for my daughter to get a little older. She loves to get out and fish.

EVAN AND ALEX I CAUGHT ALL MY FISH ON WORMS,JIGS, AND 1 ON A CRANK. I THREW WORMS AT DOCKS ON THE FIRST PASS WITH NOTHING TO SHOW THEN JIGS ON THE 2ND PASS AND BAM 2FISH JUST LIKE THAT!!!! I HAD ABOUT 9 KEEPERS THE PROBLEM WAS I COULDNT GET THE BIG BITE!!!!IT HAPPENS GUYS I GOT KILLED AT FLINT THIS YEAR AND LAST YEAR HAD 5. THATS THE WAY IT GOES HA HA

STAY AT IT

IF I QUIT WHEN I FELT DEFEATED I WOULD HAVE NEVER WON AT SOUTH WATUPPA .

YOUR TIME WILL COME JUST LIKE KARL SAID !!!

Justin what are you doing? Your giving away the secret. Shocked

It was a tough day for the Bigmouths too, my partner and I got 2 keepers on senkos right off the start tight to the bank, thought we had our pattern going right away but just as fast as it came it went away, I had my partner stay with the senkos as I tried to mix it up with some topwater, lizards, cranks, and jigs. I got a big bite under a dock with the jig and lost him at the boat. Would have guessed 3 lbs still pretty mad about that one. So I ended up sticking with my jig and got 4 keepers with it by 11:00 then NOTHING not even a nibble for the rest of the day. Talk about head scratching. My tips would be when your struggling just do what you know best and focus pay attention To everything! I don't know about any of you other guys but I always look away from other anglers and what their throwin that's what will give you a head first fall to disaster from my experience. Keep on fishing and try new waters that will make you better!
