Never been but sounds like a blast. It looks like I'll be going to Disney with the family. My girls are in popwarner cheering & the finals are in Disney. There's a lot of good lakes in Disney but, its really expensive. I heard around $275 for 2 hours? Try looking in BASS MASTER magazine, there's a lot of adds in the magazine for 3 day trips. Mostly in southern states & Texas.

Lake Marion is the largest lake in South Carolina, if you google this place they have guide services and hotels there as well. They fish year round on this lake MANY Bass tourneys on it! Also only about 13 hours away GREAT for a long weekend trip, was just talkn to Denny about going! HUGE fish in this lake!!!!!! I think I saw lake record was 16lbs and some change, 5-7lbs hogs everywhere.

I was looking at doing a trip for Sping Break last year, and I talked to a lot of guides down in Florida. Seemed like Roland Martin's was the best one down on Lake Okeechobee.

I fished Toho 2 years ago in FLA while there for Disney. It was Oct it was fun $325 for the 3 of us for 6 hr no big girls but a lot of fun. We had to use shiners though.

Guides name was Skip Campbell out of the Big Toho marina (which was the marina in that goofy bass fishing comedy). Funny guy with good stories. His advice was to hit them in Feb or 1st week March to catch the spawn for the real sows.

I fished the everglades a few years ago with a guide from Scott Martins service. It was ok at best if you like to catch 300 12 in bass. he dropped a rod and spent my dime to get it back for an hour. Don't use live bait! It might get 1 big fish but a ton of tiny ones prior and cost a fortune. If you like casting at tiny gators for fun that was the funnest part after catching nothing but dinks. JMO.
We were scheduled to fish the big "O" but to windy per guide.

Lake okeechobee.

If you looking for the whole combo I think the Roland Martin service offers it all, fishing guide service and accommodations.

But if you are going to make your own accomdations and transportation you could use a service like this:
http://www.okeechobeebassfishing.com/
slightly cheaper than rolands rates and this guy comes with some recommendations.

I know jwall didnt have the best experience using scott martins guide service, but he didnt get out onto the big O and it sounded like his guide was a piece of work too lol.
