I emailed them last night and he gave me a good description of it so I ordered it. I can't wait to get out there

Just think. In two more weeks it'll be blade bait, crankbait, jerkbait and jig time at the Q.

I can't wait. It's such a stressful ride. We rent a boat so we leave at like 3:15 am to make sure we get a boat. I've never been there on opening day. I might leave at 2:45

Ya but you know a guy that know it like the back of his hand. It's wicked hard to fish there if you've never been.

It's textbook smallie fishing if you know what you are doing

No better place than the Q for behemoth smallies. I am more of a summer pattern guy, and the stretch between Stevens Island and Leveau Island (the main lake facing edges) are ridiculous for big fish.

Gate 8 last year opening day.

I agree with Shawn. It's not an easy place to fish unless you're fishing during the spawn. Come summertime, you better have good electronics and be prepared to fish deep for smallies.

The place is awesome Rob. I said it tongue in cheek. The first few gimmes I went there I was so intimidated by its size I just trolled around. I had no idea what to do. I had never fished for smallies. I did manage to catch a couple of small lakers and saw an eagle. The sheer beauty kept me going back and little by little I figured a couple of spots out. When they're on the beds is obviously the easiest time to get the smallies

Opening day is insane. did it once..... never again. wait a day or two. In fact I never go on weekends. weekdays you have the place to yourself practically. Pull up, drop in , go fishing, catch bruiser bronzebacks
