We've had the "how many rods do you own" thread, but I'm always curious about what other people fish out of (when not pounding the shorelines on foot.) So, long story short, what sort of boat or boat-like vessel do you fish out of? What kind of motor (if any) do you have on it?
So far, I've been the proud(ish) owner of an 8 ft one-person Jon boat, affectionately known as the Bathtub. It was a gift from my father-in-law and comes with a wicked custom paint job on the transom. I'll try to get a picture when I get home =)
I've got a 30# minn-kota on it, with a nice beefy battery that keeps me going even during a full day of winds. It's been a blessing to get off the shore at times, although it's pretty cramped and my knees and back is killing me by the end of a full day's outing. It's great for spots with iffy access, I just need a little bit of flat ground and water access to get it out there.
