Damon and I met up with Shawn and Dunt at Billington Sea today for a 1v1 Beaver Fever Owners lunker tourney. It was a tough brisk day. The bites were few and far between, but I managed a nice fish on the 5th cast of the day. It was 4lbs 14oz and took lunker for the day. It was actually the only bass caught today. It was caught in 10' of water dragging a BFB black football jig with a little ugly otter trailer. The water temps ranged from 41-44 degrees.

It was nice seeing you guys down there!

now it looks like a 10lber

Nice fish Dan. It's always a good day when I get my Beaver fix. I threw lipless cranks all day with a jig and other various cranks mixed in and Dunt was throwing a jig for most of the day. The air temps weren't so bad but that wind was nasty. It was good to get out there though with the upcoming crappy weather and a busy work schedule I'm not sure when I'll get back out there.

We used the drift paddle and power pole to its fullest out there. With the drift paddle we were able to cut our drift speed in the wind in half. And stay in the 10' zone along the 1st drop.
