un-biased thoughts on any of these would be appreciated. especially on my quick pros and cons.

i know some of you are die hard shimano fans etc. so an honest assessment on the good, bad, and ugly would be helpful. i don't really care about brand loyalty.

Lew's Team Pro Speed Spool Casting Reel

pros: high speed lefty model, superior construction, a lot "smoother" feeling than the newer abu or shimano reels
cons: drag tends to "slip"

Shimano Chronarch CI4+

pros: x-ship and braking system
cons: small spool, low drag

Shimano Curado I

pros: x-ship and tons of features you normally get on $200+ reels
cons: heavier, low drag?

Abu Garcia Revo Premier:

pros: drag, powerful
cons: no lefty high speed reel, "loud" when reeling

Do it!!! Just based on the Lews BB1 that I have I would agree that the Lews is a smoother reel.

i still may get a revo premier. i like the drag, but don't like the reviews about the noise and smoothness.

Get one of each and then give me the ones you don't like.

Pros: you'll be able to do first hand comparison, I'll get free reels
cons: it'll cost you a little more dough

Can you post a source for your "low drag" on 2 new Shimano reels?

chronarch CI4+ specs: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/products/reels/low_profile_baitcasting/Chronarch_CI4.html

11 lbs. not bad, but in reality, its more of a finesse baitcaster overall i would say. that's fine but i won't be using it for that.

standby on the curado. i thought i saw 10 or 12 somewhere and i'm looking into it. weird that it's not listed on the shimano site though?
