Yeah, I cannot tell you how countless of times that I put my parent into fridge pranks. I had even put live snakes into refrigerator. I told them that something happened in refrigerator. They walked and open it then ran in terror! My dad had to hand-catch it and put it back into outside.

My Wife thought the last bag of frozen Pondies were for her to eat. Then she threw them at me hahaha
my woman saw the whole yellow perch in my freezer the first time and asked me why i kept that cause the only freshwater fish she eats is salmon hahaha! i told her unless she grew scales and sharp teeth it wasnt for her hahahaha
I never have really used live bait to the point where i'd have to keep it in the fridge. but my wife worked for a landscaping good buddy of mine who was mister wilderness, now don't get me wrong i'm an outdoorsman my self. but this guy had like all kinds of stuff going on. she did his books and would not bring anything like a drink or anything becasue he always had worms that would escape and old ham for cat fish and oh man the fun we had with her.

i never use freshwater baits tho 
My uncle had some nightcrawlers in the produce drawer in his fridge a few days before he was to go fishing and didn't have the cover on tight enough. Some of the crawlers got out and crawled around the produce, particularly the lettuce. My aunt went to make a salad and freaked out when she grabbed that lettuce. He was never allowed to keep crawlers in the fridge after that, although he would sneak them in every so often and wrap them in a clear plastic bag, just in case.
