I have caught bigger bass out of comet on power bait. Fished it my whole life and my biggest was 4 pounds. My buddy caught an 8 pounder by edgemere plaza thing didn't have a bottom jaw. Better off fishing little Indian lake ice seen some big ones in there fished it last 6 months on my lunch break. Seems pretty solid ice on there

Does quinsig ever give up decent bags?
My friend said he has always hated it but learned alot about it this year and had his best success on quinsig. but you need a boat to access where he went.

If you get 5 fish for 10lbs call the Telegram. It's breaking news.
Flint pond looks awesome for frogs and creature baits. You will flip and from your face off with fish few and far between

I'm fishing a B.A.S.S. trail tournament there in May Rich. Want to pre fish it with me? Laughing I've never fished it but if it sucks it sucks for everyone so I'm actually looking forward to it. Alhough it may not draw many boats if everyone hates it.

The last T I fished out of Quinsig was won with 11 and small change. All out of Flint Pond.

Fishing the Rt 9 bridge, from shore especially, don't waste your time. You can only maybe cast from shore out to the 6fow. It is deeper 50 yards out either side, but by deeper I mean 35-70 foot drops depending on the side. Perch everywhere. Occasional rock bass, and rare smallies. North side near 290 bridge is better for LMB. Quinsig is not bad if you know where to find them. At least that is what I have heard and not experienced! LOL
Very Happy

Stay in Flint Joe, unless they allow you to go under the bridge WAY up north. Flint is one massive lilly pad field. remember to have the proper boat registration though

indian lke actually holds some big fish ,people tend to wright it off as a shithole cause it kinda is but i grew up on indian and have fished it for a long time . cought a 5 and 6.5 larry outta indian this october and saw 3 foot pike swimming in under a foot of water every night after work during the summer. i never ever see anyone fishing it though except for the ocassinal kid fishing for kivers, all my biggest fish have come from indian lake. as for ice fishing it ive never got the chance but i know where the deepest hole is in that lake so if its safe this weekend ill drop some baits down there but id rather fish some open water

There are some great deeper water humps that always hold bass on quinsig. What size bass is always a gamble. Joe when is your tourney??

Bassinbrooky, Stay away from underneath the rte 9 bridge. The water is down about 4 ft so the water is going to be very shallow. They are also demolishing the bridge.

there are big bass i there but since it's so huge, it's pretty tough unless you know where to find them year round. usually the 1 big bass will win it and that's usually not pulled out of flint. i've been there once and it sucked. mostly 1 pounders but we stayed in flint.

to all of our credit, i recall a brutal downpour and cold front.

More than likely there will be a crew event that day so the police will shut off any traffic going north of the rte 9 bridge. Blackgts and I made a 1' contour map of flint pond using Dr. Depth last year. We found some great structure. Let me know if you want some spots.

I assume you are running structure scan on your HDS. Scan around and look for humps with emerging grass. That is where I have had my best luck that time of year.

Oh contraire my friends....Do not be so negative of Quinsig. My best fish there....7.5 # I have also caught, and have seen fish caught there of 3...4...5...and 6. I live 1 mile from there. There are many humps on the lake, some are not big, try to find the ones with GRASS on them. The lake also has smallmouth, mostly small, but there are some exceptional ones. There are also many lilly pad patches. These are the best places I have found on the lake, Especially where the pads have millfoil next to them. This lake has a lot of pressure, be patient.

Quit being so negative! Just because a lake doesn't kick out 20lb bags doesn't make it a terrible T lake in my opinion. I like to think of it as tough.
