PREDICTIONS FOR SAFE ICE???

I'm saying late January unfortunately. I was hoping by the 10th but that's a long shot. I'm starting to regret buying all new ice gear with my Christmas gift cards haha



I did the exact same thing. I even took off MLK day (1/1Cool to use it all. Here's hoping!

Yup the 10th isn't happening! I got 1 New Tip Up for Christmas that I Rigged up n threw in the bucket but holding off on using up my gift cards just yet(may use them for kayak stuff)



Look around now, people have been out these past couple days and will be until the weekend. Actually earlier than last year, believe it or not.

A couple ponds around Bridgewater were I live had 3"in" enough for me to walk out on and jig a little. Probbly wouldn't suggest anyone else do it but the ice is getting there

Look like January 26th is right for safe ice in south shore. But probably only two or three weekend of solid ice. That's it for winter fishing.

Definitely can't wait for spring to come soon! Big bass hunt for me!

Wind has really hampered the ice formation on the south shore. Saw a lot of open water yesterday in my travels. If we get snow this wknd it will be extremely hazardous out there if you find ice that you can stand on. Be smart and check ice thickness as you move around Exclamation
