OKUMA STRATUS STX 20-40 REELS

FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT A NEW REEL. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PIECE OF s***!!!! THE HANDLES BROKE OFF ON BOTH OF MINE.RECENTLY SENT THEM BACK TO GET FIXED AND FIRST DAY OUT TODAY AND GUESS WHAT BROKE AGAIN. THESE OKUMA'S ARE BY FAR THE WORST PIECES OF GRAPHITE CRAP I HAVE EVER BOUGHT AND WILL NEVER BUY ONE AGAIN!!!!!!

of course I have an okuma on one of my rods. Gonna have to check the model. I bought it at the end of last season and haven't had any trouble. Did they just break without warning?

SHAWN I CALLED OKUMA TODAY AND GUESS WHAT BRO!!! THEY TOLD ME TO SEND THEM BACK THE 2 REELS AND THEY WOULD SEND ME BETTER ONES MADE OUTA ALUMINUM HANDLES SO I GUESS WILL WILL HAVE TO SEE WHAT I GET BUT I DO FEEL A LIL BETTER ABOUT THE COMPANY FOR STEPPING UP AND TAKING CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! JUST SUCKS I GOTTA WAIT A FEW WEEKS. SHOULD HAVE THEM FOR AUGUST THO LOOK OUT HA HA

I have a couple Okuma spinning reels. older STX, GSX, Newer GTX I think. Decent reels, I dont like them as much as my Abu's, but they have taken my abuse for the last 3 plus years with no issues.

JOHN THE PROBLEM IS THE STX STRATUS REELS ARE GRAPHITE ULTRALITE AND ULTRA SUCKY HA HA BUT THEY UPDATED MY REELS TO SOMETHING ALUMINUM.SO NOW ITS LIKE XMAS WAITING FOR THEM TO ARRIVE TO SEE WHAT THEY GAVE ME LOL

I checked and mine's the 30...i think it's aluminum. I've had pretty good luck with it so far. That's cool that they backed up they're name by replacing them.
