Went out to a good size pond on the north shore with my cousin on his jonboat. This was a pond that I never been to so I intended on following his lead. We began to hook up with some nice size bass in the first 30 minutes. Then the bite went dead for me for a couple hours. My cousin was still catching them with the Senko. I insisted on trying every type of reaction bait with absolutely no luck. finally I picked back up my Senko rig and began getting them shallow in the shade up against the islands and in the coves next to fallen wood. My cousin managed to get a decent Smallie there also. This place is not known for them so we were pretty excited. At the end of the day we managed over 20 nice bass with a hand full around 3.5lbs.
