A committee of.past years top finishers is both fair and equitable. Kinda of a reason to fish more and perform better....

I think this idea might work better.

That's not fair to do. People's circumstances change. Maybe those who fished 2 seasons ago couldn't fish this past season for whatever reason, but fully intend to fish the upcoming season and vice versa, those who fished this year may not be able to fish next season and that wouldn't be fair to have them vote for all. We gotta keep the main board tourneys and any decisions regarding it open for all to decide, not just a few. MAFF belongs to ALL members and ALL members should decide. Make tourneys every week and those who want to fish them will fish the ones they wish too, closer to their homes or not. Just my opinion and not trying to start an argument, but I can't believe I'm alone on that thought?

Im not trying to start an argument either. We are just discussing things. but having said that why does the main board tourneis "have" to be decided by 'everyone"? They never were in the past or am I wrong on that? I thought Johnny and Justin did all the deciding with "suggestions" from others

I'm with Roger. Leave it up to everyone and you don't need tournament directors and TOC's. that was a joke this year. Keep it fun and on good cartopper ponds. Definitely don't put Rich in charge whatever you do - that's my .02

Yo and Roger should team up next year. team name: Pot stirers

Lol Rich, nice team name but no thanks. I'm not worthy. I don't know how we managed prior to last season without you at the helm? Seriously though, good luck with MAFF next season. Hope it turns out how you want it to.

I was just busting joe's balls. Like I said. didn't Justin and Johnny put the trails together?

I am willing to step up and run the trail with as many others as possible. Get it back to being all about a good time and good lakes. Have as many Ts as possible to accommodate all schedules and get more people involved. Not one or two people running things and picking what works for them.

It got tiresome dealing with all the BS. But then at the end of the year the guys who fished all year with us started coming up to Neil, kenny and myself and they thanked us and let us know they thought we did a good job. That made it all worth while and re energized me. I'll be all set to run things next year and have an even better trail.

No, that is not correct. They came up with suggestions and we pretty much all agreed as a collective group. Sure there has to be someone driving the process or making the posts and giving info. When Johnny and Smoke had other obligations and couldn't or didn't want to be the driving force, we all took turns getting permits, posting times, places, etc. Everything ran smooth and we all had a sense of ownership in the program. That's what made it all so cool.

Look, we've definitely had our disagreements and I'm honestly not just trying to simply stir the pot. I just feel that the site and tourneys should be run on the backs of all. Let's just all run MAFF together peacefully in 2014. I think you'll see more participation on a whole.
