I find that my spending is 100x worse in the winter when I can't fish. I buy anything and everything! Once the season comes around I settle down and just replenish baits & tackle as it gets used up.
I agree 100%. I bought three fly outfits and a fly tying setup this past off-season. I hadn't been fly fishing in 40 years
Now I'm trying to justify that investment by using as often as I can. Also bought a new spinning outfit and I'm a die hard bait caster. I think I'd be better off spending my money on fishing vacations during the winter months.
