Scent alone usually don't attract game fish but it definitely helps if you missed first bite. It usually generates second bite, or even third bite. This can be observed in the fish tank. Fish always suck in their own poo because it looks like a little worm. They immediately spit out. Now, roll a tiny piece of napkin, dip into the Gulp juice, then throw in the fish tank. You will see them suck in-spit out, suck in-spit out many times. Sometimes they just eat it.
