With the fairly mild temp I decided to take the yak out for a couple of hours this morning. Wind was blowing prettygood! Headed over to Stetson Pond since the parking area was clear. Kept my expectations low so I wouldn't be disappointed. 
Had a couple of strikes right off the bat but missed the hookset. Few minutes later caught a bass around 2lb. on a Countdown Rapala. Was like reeling in a boot! Ended up with one other bass, 2 picks, 4 calico and a jumbo perch. Missed a lot of strikes also. Overall wasn't a bad 2.5 hrs. considering I wasn't expecting anything!

Had a couple of light strikes on the Husky Jerk but no hookups. That north wind killed the bite. It really is hit or miss this time of the year
