BLACK COLOR is the best for night fishing! Hand down! Any lures that have black.... they will get bites! Some of my biggest fish of year was caught on black color during night!

I think a lot of crankbaits started w/ clear shell , it's a good lure to try some funky colors. I use paint like a third grader bu't I always doctor up my chipped lures w/ paint. Sometimes I use my wife's fingertnail polish. Reds seem to work well.
