went out to bloody pond today, took about 3 tries to find the road but glad i did. threw a couple cranks and a spinnerbait nothing till i threw a 4in zoom black n blue lizard caught 2 small smallies and a yellow perch. the bite died off so i threw a brown baby brush hogg got nothing changed it up n threw a dark grey purple flake baby brush hogg first cast got a 1.8oz smallie couple casts later got a 1.12oz smallie. not bad for an hr or so of fishing.

thanks ya i like that place, great structure right when u get to the water, also i read on the mass wildlife website the probable reason why its called bloody pond is there were lots of killings of indians near that beach you can see from that point spot, little spooky. i really want to get a canoe or something in there.

Yea, the history definitely makes it a cool place to hit up, something to think about when youre waiting for a strike. My family rented a house on it back in the day and I took a canoe out solo early one morning, knowing the history behind the pond definitely makes it creepy being out there by yourself.

More importantly I landed some great largemouths around the "choke point" that seperates the two parts of the lake. There were TONS of minnows and whatnot on the sandbar that definitely attract the big ones.
