Hey all,
I'm not asking where or how. I have a shinner and cray fish trap. I just want to know, what waters has worked best for you. Creek, pond, stream, lake.

I would like to trap my own bait this year for ice fishing.

I'm not a pro at this but i have seen it stir up a few questions and comments on other sites. Just be careful and check out the laws 1st.

Regualtions:

I've had luck in tidal creeks, and I was skunked in the Neponset river. You just have to give it a try.

Catfood, crackers, white bread, chicken skin, dry dogfood. All have worked for people, so they can't be very fussy. I had good luck with catfood down in Quincy when I was trying to get eels. They like shallow water, so don't bother dropping the trap deep.
