1st time at lake boone

A friend and i made the trip to lake Boone yesterday. We have never been there before. I caught 8 keepers all about 1 1/2 lbs. I tried senkos,jigs,spinner baits,buzz baits,c-rig,rattle traps.Deep and shallow. I caught most shallow. My friend caught 7 keepers in the same size. 1 on a senko,the rest on a zara spook.
I think they have already spawned? There was a lot of beds and nobody was home.So it was a post spawn day.
We actually had a good day and will be back.

Lake Boone can definitely produce a good day. I'd say 15 keepers between the two of you is a great day.
Ya I think they spawned a couple weeks ago. When I caught that 6 lber 4wks ago she was holding eggs so they are probably all done by now.

We were happy with 15. Could have been worse. lol
We are thinking of going back when there might be some froggin action and fish into the night.
