Ames Long Pond Easton/Stoughton Before Coffee
Ames Long Pond is a 65 Acre shallow, 6 to 10 foot, warmwater man made pond, that is heavily weeded along the shores and heavily pressured during the summer with shore fisherman. It is actually split into two ponds on either side of West Street, with the smaller of the two heavily weeded, but productive and the larger having a clear channel right up the middle with great canoe/kayak fishing for a beginner....like me.....
I've caught nice bass on both sides of Ames, they're in there for sure!
Never pulled a bass from either side, but I hear tell from the old timers that there are monster bass to be had......sounds like a fish story to me....LOL
EEE virus has been detected in Easton. Lather up!!!
People keep saying that there is a monster largemouth in here. Any truth to that? All I've ever caught is pickerels in the range that you described though....
