The Three Mile River is a river that runs through the western to near central portion of Taunton, Massachusetts. It is part of the Taunton River Watershed. Fish passage is obstructed to the lower Three Mile River by three dams. A steeppass fishway was installed in 2006 at the first dam at the Harrodite site to replace a wooden fishway that had existed up until 1998. A second dam on the river at the Harrodite site is avoidable by a bypass channel just downstream of this dam. The third dam on the river is at the Draka Dam which creates Mount Hope Pond, a 45-acre impoundment which could provide a spawning site for river herring.
