Shallow & rather weedy, this small pond (which sits right along King Street, but is difficult to see due to the heavy seasonal plant growth along the shore) has willing bass, and plenty of them. Bass here can be voracious surface feeders; blasting buzz baits, noisy top-water plugs & plastic frogs with abandon. Although most fish caught are small (1 lb or less), there are 5 to 6 lb bass in here, it you can interest 'em.
There is no boat launch area, but you might be able to drag a small canoe or kayak down to the water behind the Creamery - I've seen others do so. Access otherwise is limited to the shore areas which are not directly along the condo complex - that land is private & off limits - anywhere else that you can manage to get down to the water is OK, but the land is swampy, with lots of vegetation.
Best times to fish Spruce are usually first light and just before dusk - Good Luck !
