Zebco Delta Reel

Through some 10lb braid in there (Suffix or Spiderwire), won't have a problem breaking off anytime soon (unless it's due to to bad knots).

Seconding the Black Max combo, it's like $59 at Wal-Mart, a great starter.

My 13yr old is wanting to move and wants a Baitcaster reel instead ! Any good baitcaster reel for a beginner! Will just replace his old zebco delta reel on his ugly stick until I can get him a decent rod later.

I have a new in the box basspro tourney special baitcaster tsp10hb. also a very lightly used older 6.5 ft shimano mh rod. you can have them for your son for $30. pm me if interested. but I would recommend spinning.
