Thanks great advice. I do believe for one reason or other line was frayed by knot

i use braid mostly and add a leader of floro. i fish a lot of structure. i love the sensitivity and casting distance with braid.

i use floro when drop shotting or going for trout and salmon.

I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid Fluorocarbon/Nylon Line for finesse/drop-shot fishing, that's it. The rest is all braid in various strengths for the different applications/type of fishing I'm doing. Just my personal preference. Good luck figuring out what works best for you.
