i saw a 300lbs mako come up after my dog fish. i was cod fishing in september 2 years ago. i saw some thing behind my dog fish. thinking it was more of them. all of sudden i saw a huge mouth behind it.
came up crashed the surface. missed it by inches.

one morning during the summer couple years ago . i was fishing for stripers off the powder point bridge. i watched a 6 foot sandtiger shark get caught and tagged.

way back when i was 12 my uncle and i were night fishing off a beach in harwich port. we were chunking for stripers. i hooked into something big. thinking it was a monster striper. line peeling off. i hooked into a 6 foot brown shark aka sandbar shark. caught and released.

We were out on a fishing charter in Glouchester many years ago and an 18 foot Baskin shark went cruising by us with its mouth wide open. The captain identified it right away over the loud speaker, letting everyone know it was harmless. Quite the site to see! Shocked

My Fathers boat got hit by something in gloucester harbor. Later that day they found a sharks tooths lodged in the boat. It was looked at by an expert and turns out it was a big ole white shark tooth. I still have it somewhere.

I remember when I was about twelve (I could be wrong) my step father brought us all out on a shark fishing trip in his boat... After what felt like forever of trolling he caught a big nasty (I was twelve all sharks were big and nasty) blue shark. It put up a fight and a half.
Probably one of the most exciting things I've ever seen.

This guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvjiG24NW28 is a good friend of mine. We were in my last bass fishing club together. It's great to hear him tell this story. he is a member on this board but hardly ever posts.

I caught several sharks and seen tons of them.

I caught 12 foot thresher - that is not count the size of tail. It is definitely monster shark! that is my first and only thresher I got so far. (Caught on cod fishing. this thresher attacked on my jig!)

Caught 10 foot dusky shark. really cool shark.

Caught 15 foot blueshark. Totally huge! No joke. But Caught another blueshark close to 10 foot. (I was hand feed it and hooked it up! landed it within 5 minutes. Then let my customers to take pictures then taking the reel battles with blueshark. that is when I was camera guy to shot my customers to reel in. You can see the size of this shark.)

I have seen 30 footer Basking sharks occasions. but 15-20 foot basking shark are more common around here.

Seen great whites almost every year for last four years now. (due to seal population is booming on the Chatham...) biggest one was probably 21 foot.

Have seen great whites attacked seals and saw two attacks at last week.

I do believe those great whites will move into cape cod bay. And further north each year! I've heard a runor about a white shark cruise into a river last month!

I wana see a shark and catch one

Bassturds - Yes, great white is already in Cape Cod Bay. that's for confirmation. They are definitely around there. Just need to wait to see any interesting shark that pop up on surface...

there are video that shark comes into the river and police boaters tried to get that shark to get out of river. they made it to get shark out of river.
