Thinking about fishing Kezar Lake, which I saw is ranked #54 in Bassmaster magazine. Let me hear your thoughts on the best locations to cast your line.

Thanks

My buddy lives on cabosancantee! I have no idea how to spell it.
But it's one of the best lakes. It ranked higher then kezar lake!

Bass fishing is unreal there!!! It's in Sydney Maine!

kezar lake has HOGS in it. Fish the outside weedlines. Fish top waters in the morning like a spook or a buzzbait. Fish texas rigged or shakey head rigged soft plastics in the weeds as the sun gets higher and the boat traffic increases. A heavy jig and pig works too 1/2 oz or bigger. Find more then 1 type of cover together. Not just weeds, not just rocks but weeds with rocks and your chances go up a lot. I like the Northern and southern ends of the lake. There is a lot to fish in these areas without having to move far from 1 spot to the next.

Definitely worth a try. There is a ton of good lakes in Maine.
I have been fishing cobbossee for 8 years now and its good. But i know alot of guys who just stay at the motel there and commute to other lakes that have alot less pressure.
I would say its worth a try!

The primary reason for choosing Kezar over Cobbosseecontee is location. Kezar is much closer to where we are staying. I'd love to fish both, but I don't know if that will be doable on a family trip. Cool

Good stuff everyone. I'm going to be renting a boat, so I will likely be on Kezar rather than the smaller ponds.

Pleasant pond near Fryeburg is an excellent spot. I'm not sure if there is a public ramp. I have always got on from the Saco river.!

I'm going on vacation to Maine in 3 weeks and we stay in the Belgrade Lakes area. Some of the best Smallie fishing I've ever seen as well as a trophy Pike factory lol. Never fished kezar but long pond is great
