I'm putting in a livewell and trying to switch my trolling motor to foot pedal control. Hoping the experts can help point me in the right direction.

Livewell:
How big of a cooler should i use? 48 qu, 60 qt??
What aerator kit would you suggest (bass pro has 2 priced around $40 with very good reviews).
Do you recommend a timer?

Trolling motor:
Is it possible to switch over a hand controlled trolling motor to a pedal control? If so where can I purchase a foot pedal control, parts etc?

Thanks in advance for the help

try to have the biggest cooler livewell your boat can handle. Both of the kits BPS has are great just pick the one that best fits your well and budget. I always recommend installing a livewell timer because it will save a ton of battery life through the day. It will also allow you to focus on fishing not turning the switch on and off.

There is no way to convert a hand control to a foot control. You would have to change out the whole head and get a petal. By that point you are probably spending the same amount as buying a new one. What you could do is install a big foot switch. This switch is wired inline to your TM pos cable. You will still have to adjust the speed and direction with your hand but this will allow some hands free control.

good luck!
