first of all, great job organizing and running the tournament rich and neil. things went very smoothly. great day on the water minus the freezing temperatures and wind. no idea what the water temp. was but it was warmer than the air.

i don't see a lot of giants pulled out of the place consistently so that winning bag is even more impressive than it looks. we saw these guys culling all day. broken hand and all! JBIGUN lives up to his name. awesome job.

rich, no doubt you guys deserve the smallie lunker for culling them early.

we caught about 5 keeper smallies but only 1 made the cut. we found a few lmb over 2 lbs. and culled a good 10-15 times. also got 3 rainbow trout. most fish were caught in 8-15' on dropoffs slow dragging Beaver Fever custom jigs and tubes.

Sam we did the exact same thing as you guys, fishing the 8' - 15' zone with jigs. WE started the day with jerkbaits and quickly boated a mico limit of smallies and then Tony connected with the lunker winner. We then switched gears and went LM fishing the rest of the day. WE culled a bunch and caught a bunch more that were too small to cull anything we had. Probably caught 25-30 fish throughout the day and missed another 5-10 when we could not feel the subtle hits before they decided to spit it.

we went smallie hunting early and couldn't find them. all of our smallies came at the end of the day. our day panned out completely opposite of yours. crazy how that happens. they can be anywhere at any time.

Congrats to all the teams that won. Impressive winning bag and lunker. I could not catch anything today other than short smallies. Is it possible I am not as good as I thought? haha. Time will tell. Thanks to Roger for getting us 3 keepers. I drove the boat and not much else.
