So the other post got me thinking(Just for fun) What lure would you use if it was the only one you could throw year round.

It would be tempting to say a senko, but i don't like using them...Too mindless for me

Maybe a fluke? Nahh

More than likely it would be the chatterbait.

I have had too much success with it and feel as if i should ALWAYS have one tied on.

The only time the chatterbait would get me skunked if i keep using it at the same small ponds day after day.

Only other lure that would pick over is good ol' jig

Jig for me for sure. Love spinnerbaits but this has been a very disappointing year with spinners, threw them all year with minimal success. Started to cross over to cranks more because of it.

My favorite creature bait, I can fish it just like a jig, I can drag it swim it flip it pitch it etc

I think I'm with Neil on this one, HOWEVER, that assumes that I would be fishing many different types of water. I think if you asked me to choose one bait for a specific place, I might answer differently.

I like to throw an 8 inch black worm. you can fish it on the bottom, suspend it work it fast or slow, drag it over wood and rock, and you can also pull it like a snake on top.....It's a very versitile lure, and has been working great for years. My second choice would be a spinnerbait.[/code]

One of my first choices also. If they don't hit it swimming it, you can drag it along the bottom. Alway get fish with it.
