I have not fished Pleasant Pond, but I have been successful fishing for crappie, yellow perch and bluegills on Puffer Pond and Mill Pond (Maynard) using #0 and #1 Mepps Aglias inline spinners (in particular the plain ones with a red and white on the blade), 1/8 oz Mepps Little Wolf Spoons (Chartreuse and silver), 2/32 oz Eppinger Dardevle Spoons (Red White Stripe Nickel Back), and a small gold spoon I got fouled in at Puffer Pond.
The trick for me is fishing in the evening, keeping the rod tip low, and reeling slowly.
I've also caught a yellow perch and a brown bullhead on Berkley Garlic Chartreuse Floating Power Eggs, fished on the bottom.
