Ive fished the southern end (the stump field) of buffums quite a few times...Had nothing more than a handful of >1lbs'ers...with all the timber back there I know there is a potential giant, the thought of that keeps me going back
Fish the Boat Ramp side Deep water in front. Used to take Pike thru the ice there and Big Larry's Saw a pike first hand last year at the Ramp. Bit my brother off on the other side of the Bobber..
Fished it a few times. If you head south from the ramp use caution because there is alot of stumps. Not to dangerous or anything just be aware they are around. The north end yields some decent results as well. I don't think think it a bass haven but we have caught some decent bags at times.
