with summer approaching how does your plan of attack change?

concentrate on pads and shoreline structure? or move out to deep water?

is there any time this summer that you guys feel it's not even worth going out?

I personally am always learning but i try and fish Shallower in a.m until sunlight hits my area. Then i try cover, pads, docks, trees etc. If nobody home i probe deeper weed lines.
That's probably the most basic answer. I always try new things hoping to learn something different and better my catch.

Good stuff Jay!!!

I can add that It really depends on the pond you are fishing. I find ponds have ...... for lack of a better word...... a personality.
You can have 2 ponds 2 miles apart and in 1 the bass move offshore on humps and weedlines in summer and in the other they remain shallow and use the wood, rocks and docks. If I do not know the pond at all or very well, I start shallow because shallow fish are aggresive fish. They are shallow to feed in summer. I progressivly move deeper and deeper as I determine the bite for the day. Some days I am shallow all day, others I move deeper and deeper as the day progresses and others I am out in the middle of the lake within a couple hours fishing the offshore stuff.
